Twellium, in showing solidarity with the government and the grieving families, has donated over 40,000 bottles of water to support the state funeral of the eight victims of the recent helicopter crash, scheduled to be held at the Black Star Square.

The donation was officially presented at the Jubilee House by representatives of Twellium Ghana, led by Mr. Kojo Siaw, Brand Manager of Verna Mineral Water, with the support of the Minister of Youth and Sports, Hon. Kofi Adams.

Hon. Kofi Adams, speaking on behalf of the government, expressed deep appreciation to Twellium:

“On behalf of the Government and the people of Ghana, I extend heartfelt gratitude to Verna Mineral Water for their support during this difficult time. Your donation of 2,000 packs of water will bring comfort to the families and loved ones of our fallen heroes, and it reflects your commitment to supporting our nation’s endeavours.”

He further commended Twellium for its continuous commitment to corporate social responsibility, adding: “This act of kindness underscores the importance of unity and collective effort in times of national grief.”

The team proceeded to lay a wreath at the designated spot in front of the Jubilee House.

The tragic crash claimed the lives of eight distinguished individuals, including:

  • Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, Minister of Defence
  • Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, Minister for Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation
  • Samuel Aboagye, former Parliamentary Candidate
  • Samuel Sarpong, Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC)
  • Alhaji Limuna Muniru Mohammed, Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator

Also perishing in the crash were three crew members:

  • Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala
  • Flying Officer Manin Twum-Ampadu
  • Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah
