The Ghana Medical Association (GMA) reaffirmed its long-standing partnership with Verna Mineral Water as a proud sponsor of the 67th Annual General Conference, held at the University of Cape Coast from 10–16 November 2025. The week-long event brought together medical doctors, health practitioners, policymakers, and industry leaders from across the country, marking another milestone in Ghana’s pursuit of stronger and more sustainable healthcare systems.

The conference ran under the theme “Strengthening Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) for Sustainable Healthcare Delivery,” chaired by the President of the GMA, Dr. (Med) Frank Serebour. In his remarks, Dr. Serebour highlighted the crucial role of private sector collaboration in advancing national healthcare goals and noted GMA’s productive partnership with Verna Mineral Water over the past four years. He recounted GMA’s visit to the Verna production facility, where the association independently verified
the brand’s strict adherence to internationally accepted water purification and safety standards. He
added that this quality assurance was the foundation upon which GMA confidently endorsed Verna as
a trusted partner and recommended it for general consumption.

Representing Twellium Industrial Company, Edem Lakpleku, Digital Marketing Lead of Twellium Ghana, expressed appreciation to GMA on behalf of the Marketing Director, Mr. Ali Ajami, and the entire management team. He praised the association for its dedication to improving health outcomes nationwide and reaffirmed Verna’s commitment to standing with the GMA in initiatives that uplift communities and strengthen the health sector.

Over the years, the Verna–GMA partnership has gone beyond event sponsorship. Through the Verna Changing Lives initiative, the two institutions have collaborated on several impactful health projects, including the donation of incubators and phototherapy machines to selected hospitals, as well as supporting surgery costs for vulnerable patients who required urgent medical interventions. These efforts form part of Verna’s broader mission to improve lives and contribute meaningfully to healthcare delivery in Ghana.

With continued partnership, both sides aim to roll out even more medical support initiatives, capacity-building programmes, and community-focused interventions that directly benefit Ghanaians across the country.

Verna Mineral Water remains committed to delivering safe, quality hydration while actively supporting the growth and resilience of Ghana’s healthcare ecosystem.
