Twellium’s October is marked by a series of breast cancer awareness talks, screenings and wellness activities all aimed at promoting early detection and preventive healthcare.

For this year’s campaign, employees from all departments across the organization rallied under the theme, “Every Story is Unique, Every Journey Matters.” The initiative forms part of the organisation’s annual activities for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Employee Participation

For Twellium, the annual campaign is not simply another corporate activity on the calendar. It reflects an approach to employee engagement that places staff feedback at the centre of programme planning.

This year’s activities are informed by responses gathered from employees after the last edition, allowing management to identify gaps and introduce interventions that respond to their needs.

The feedback from 2025 led to the introduction of wellness and sonogram sessions, thereby expanding the focus from breast cancer awareness to broader employee wellbeing at both our Accra and Kumasi Facilities.

Wellness Program

Two days were focused on wellness; with free massage sessions organised in collaboration with the Twellium Keep Fit Club. The sessions provided an opportunity for relaxation and physical relief, reinforcing the importance of personal wellbeing alongside daily work responsibilities.

Mr Eric Asamoah, the lead at the Twellium Keep Fit Club, applauded employees for availing themselves and encouraged them to join the club to participate in wellness programs.

Breast Screening and Sonogram Program

Health professionals led breast cancer education and free screening sessions; early detection, recognising warning signs, breast self-awareness, regular clinical screening and lifestyle considerations for breast health.

Employees were also encouraged to take proactive steps towards monitoring their health and seeking professional medical guidance when necessary.

The programme reinforced Twellium’s commitment to employee welfare, recognising that supporting its people extends beyond the workplace to include health awareness, wellness and access to preventive healthcare.

Public Advocacy

Employees tagged along for photos and videos to raise awareness and express their support for breast cancer survivors. Tote bags, cards, wristbands and t-shirts waved, to posing with specially designed frames each with a unique message of solidarity.

Through initiatives such as this, Twellium continues to promote a culture that values employee well-being and encourages individuals to take an active role in their health.

We are a firm believer of SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth.
